Burchat Homes recently completed a 24 x 30 garage for us and I cannot properly express how satisfied we are with the finished product. We are planning an addition to our home and we would not consider any other contractor than Jeff Burchat and Burchat Homes.

It’s been 3 years since our cottage build was finished and Jeff and his team continue to go above and beyond. It’s one thing to have a contractor who communicates extremely well DURING CONSTRUCTION, but to have that continue AFTER the build is EXCEPTIONAL. Jeff and his team take great pride in their workmanship and customer satisfaction is their ultimate goal. Log builds provide their own unique ongoing issues which Jeff has proven to be fully committed to and ready to immediately assist us as they evolve.

We purchased a cottage built in the 70’s that we wanted to renovate, update and use full time in our retirement. We met with Jeff and discussed our vision. It was clear to us we wanted to work with him on this project. The project started on time and as we progressed the renovation quickly turned into a rehabilitation. The building had structural deficiencies and deterioration for various reasons. Jeff walked us through the issues and collaborated with us to discuss options and budget implications. All work was done as promised with the highest quality and to code. Jeff created the vision we had for our open concept cottage, and gave us the peace of mind that we needed now knowing that we live in a safe and beautiful home that will last for decades. We contacted Jeff and several other builders after our cottage/retirement home was destroyed by fire in the spring of 2015. We spent been 10yrs building our dream home, doing most of the work ourselves. After we met with Jeff, we knew we wanted him to build our new place. Jeff was the only one that got back to us right away and was enthusiastic about working with us on our rebuild. These were very stressful times for Candie and I. Jeff and his crew did an excellent job of rebuilding to our expectations. They were always on the job when they said they would be and the project was competed on schedule ,We can't thank Jeff and his crew enough. Our new home even exceeds our expectations!

My wife and are city based executives, with me being a general contractor in Toronto. In 2010 we hired Jeff Burchat to complete some construction work in the Barry's Bay area, which led to several projects over the past few years. Late in 2016 we started a collaborated 2017 project with Jeff. The company now Burchat Homes Inc, worked with us to construct our new timber frame home. Due to our lack of timber frame knowledge Jeff worked closely with us and our timber frame contractor, Algonquin Timber Frames. Together we were able to complete a very successful project in just over 4 months. The final home project exceeded our expectations. From conception to completion Jeff was involved in every aspect, providing construction insight, realistic time lines and quality workmanship within our aggressive schedule. Jeff and his crew were always available and punctual to meet our requests. It was such a pleasurable experience to work with a local area professional. I'm sure we'll be doing more projects in the future and we would have no hesitation in engaging J Burchat Construction Inc again. Jeff and his team finished building our dream home and garage in winter 2017. We are very happy with his work. He is a talented carpenter, having the ability to turn a 2D drawing into a beautiful 3D product.
